Seven things you need to know before SURGE

Seven things you need to know before SURGE

February 22, 2016 by Anna O'Hare

SURGE kicks off today. Our first Indian event will see more than 5,000 attendees from over 70 countries visiting Bengaluru. Before you arrive, check out the following six steps to help you make the best of your time this week.

Download the SURGE App

Start making connections with SURGE speakers, media and startups by downloading the SURGE app now. We’ll recommend talks you should attend and people you should meet all through one easy-to-use interface.

You must present the app along with your ticket reference number and photo ID at the Registration point to gain access to the event. Beat the queue by pre-registering at Manpho Convention Centre on Monday, February 22 and stay for our Opening Party from 4pm to 7pm.

Don’t forget to bring along a passport or other photo ID.

Getting to SURGE

SURGE will be taking place at the Manpho Convention Centre in Bengaluru. Exact address below –

91/4, Veeranna Palya, Nagawara Ring Road, Opposite BEL Corporate Office, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560045.

We’d recommend using Uber or requesting a car from your hotel to get to the venue. There is limited parking onsite which will be available on a first come first serve basis. After the event, there is a nearby Tuk Tuk rank and a transport desk onsite where the team will help you get cars when you leave.

Kick off will be at 9am each morning and we will finish at 5pm on each day. Stick around in the evening to attend social events at the Manpho Convention Centre.

Monday, February 22: Opening Party, 4pm – 7pm

Tuesday, February 23: Happy Hour, 4.30pm – 7pm

Wednesday, February 24: Happy Hour, 4.30pm – 7pm

There will be food available throughout the day at SURGE. From 8am IST there will be snacks, sandwiches, coffee and soft drinks. A buffet style lunch will be available from 12pm – 3pm IST. Pricing will be displayed onsite.

Remember the essentials to make the most of your time at SURGE. You’ll need: Photo ID, the SURGE app, business cards, and chargers for your electronic devices.
